Get the Camaro restored

A CAR LOVER’S STORY
It’s a familiar story line—boy finds love, boy loses love, boy finds love again. But every love story is unique, and this one is no exception. This story begins in March of 1970 in an auto showroom in Akron, Ohio. That’s where the boy sees his “first love”—a 1969 Chevy Camaro Z/28 and it is love at first site.
Her blazing orange exterior catches not only his eye, but also his heart. A signed contract makes her the boy’s and the paperwork is carefully saved proving a life-time of love and devotion. But only a short time later, life’s circumstances force the boy to let go of his beloved.
The years pass by (40 of them) with many other cars taking her place in the garage, but never her place in the boy’s heart. Rumors circulate that she got into racing for a brief time and was totaled and eventually sold for scrap.
And then, like a scene out of a Hollywood movie, the boy stumbles across the shell of a once proud Z/28. The familiar orange exterior is barely visible but tempts the boy to check the VIN plate with the old title. Could it be? The chances are remote at best for a match, but a first-love never dies.
Time seems to stand still as the boy checks the numbers. His heart pounds faster and faster as number after number matches. What a cruel joke it will be when the last number proves the rumors true and that it is an imposter. But they do match and the reunion transports the boy back to his youth. While she is barely recognizable, the boy admits he has changed too.
If this were a fairy tale, the end of the story would read, “And they drove away happily ever after.” But life is seldom a fairy tale. The only offer the owner makes is to buy the folder of original paperwork for $1000. Money forced the boy to lose her once, but not again. Believing that she will once again be his someday he clings to the folder, the only reminder of his true love and walks away.
Time continues to march forward. The knowledge of her existence nearby proves to be more of heartache than a relief. And then, during a season of miracles, another miracle occurs. The owner agrees to sell the boy’s “first love” back to the boy.
This is not the end of the story; it is really just the beginning. As time, and more importantly money permit, it is the boy’s dream to restore her to her former beauty. But even in her present condition, to the boy, she is a beauty.
